TEAM MINOT
The Minot Area Chamber EDC takes the lead in TEAM MINOT events, with the core program being the Military Affairs Committee. Minot Area Chamber EDC provides the venue for business leaders to get together with their Air Force friends once a month for lunch and a program.
The meeting places rotate locations between the base and a downtown Minot location. Programs range from informational sessions about new construction on the base, to an overview of community events like the North Dakota State Fair. The committee also includes representatives of both the local Air National Guard and Army National Guard units, and some of the programs pertain directly to the Guard as well. The meeting always concludes with briefings from the commanders of the 5th Bomb Wing, the 91st Missle Wing, and from representatives of the Guard. This gives civilians a chance to feel involved and to learn about the preprarations of the Air Force and Guard. The committee meetings are also a good chance for Honorary Commanders to get together during the month to catch up with each other.
