Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park
On the west side of the mighty Missouri River, the park encompasses history of legendary proportions. Lewis and Clark camped there, the Mandan Indians settled the On-A-Slant Village and General George A. Custer and his 7th Cavalry rode out from Fort Abraham Lincoln to their destiny at the Little Bighorn.
Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site takes you back in time to the mid-19th century, the heyday of Fort Union and the fur trade on the Upper Missouri River.

Nestled on the U.S. and Canadian borders of North Dakota and Manitoba in a symbol of friendship where 150,000 flowers splash across the grounds.
Lake Metigoshe State Park – is located in the scenic Turtle Mountains on the shores of Lake Metigoshe. The park has both modern and primitive camping, as well as picnicking areas, group dormitories, kitchen and meeting facilities.
Lake Sakakawea State Park
The park has a full service marina, including boat rentals, convenience store, fishing guide services and boat and camper storage.
North Dakota Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center
North Dakota Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center provides an overview of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, with special emphasis on the time spent at Fort Mandan during the winter of 1804-1805.
Lewis and Clark State Park – is named for the Corps of Discovery explorers, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark as the expedition camped nearby on April 17, 1805.

Dickinson Museum Center
The Dickinson Museum Center is a cultural and natural history museum complex that serves the region of southwestern North Dakota. Formerly known as the Dakota Dinosaur Museum, the Dickinson Museum Center’s Dinosaur Museum houses the largest collection of real dinosaur fossils on display in North Dakota, including a complete Triceratops skull, six full dinosaur skeletons, hundreds of other fossils, and a colorful mineral collection. Newly discovered dinosaur bones collected in the 2016 field season are on display in the visitor-viewable fossil laboratory. www.ndparks.co
