In prideful celebration of their culture and heritage, resourceful Minot residents have extended the scope of their magic to create a number of annual events gaining regional and national attention:

JANUARY
KMOT TV Ag Expo, 701-852-5254, offers exhibitors from North Dakota, surrounding states and Canada the opportunity to exhibit the latest technology and equipment in farming.

Home and Garden Show, 701-852-0496, is a two day event sponsored by the Minot Association of Builders. It features home and garden displays.  ND State Fair Center
Prairie Quilt Festival –  Clarion Hotel and Convention Center

APRIL
The Big One Arts & Crafts Fair, Over 400 crafters display and sell their creations. State Fair Center, 701-837-6059

JUNE
Minot Ribfest - ND State Fairgrounds
Arts in the City & Park - From mid-June through early August, this program offers something for all ages and interests in a relaxed outdoor setting. On Thursday and Sunday afternoons and evenings, and some Tuesdays, the Minot Area Council of the Arts hosts musical and visual arts presentations, 852-2787.
MSU's Summer Theatre - The Minot State University outdoor theatre allows you to enjoy musicals and other productions in a unique atmosphere, 858-3878.

JULY
North Dakota State Fair, 701-857-7620, welcomes more than a quarter of a million people each year. Lasting nine days, it is North Dakota's main summer event. Exhibits, livestock shows, carnival activities and big-name entertainment are waiting for those who attend.

The Great Tomato Festival,  is held at the North Dakota State Fair Center. Great food and a silent auction are featured at this fundraiser, 258-2212.

Motor Magic, 701-857-7620, is the biggest motor sports event in the upper midwest.
Norsk Hostfest, a nationally acclaimed event. The festival features authentic Scandinavian entertainment, popular headliners, ethnic food and crafts. Hundreds of booths are packed with unique gifts from five Nordic countries. ND State Fair Center, 852-2368
