Hunting
Four seasons make North Dakota a spectacular place for the avid outdoorsman. Summer, fall, winter and spring, you can enjoy hunting and fishing. Those outdoors are a big attraction for many residents and visitors alike and hunters are no exception. Once November comes around, outsiders learn of a new holiday…the deer hunting opener. North Dakotans are passionate about this and all hunting seasons!
Fishing
When the snow hits and the lakes freeze over, fisherman flock to the big lakes with their fish houses and gear for a long day of ice fishing. In the summer, the lake is busy with those hoping to snag the big one including trout, walleye and even salmon. To learn more about the hunting and fishing seasons, to apply for a license or to find out about hunter education, log onto www.gf.nd.gov or call 701-328-6300.
