The Minot Area Chamber EDC is looking for a
Programming and Development Assistant
to support the Chamber EDC team and our nearly 700 member investors in carrying out our organization mission to advocate for and invest in business activity by being a collaborative partner in the community, focused on improving the quality of life for all.
This position interacts with the community and member investors as the first point of contact in answering the numerous calls that come through the organization and welcoming those visiting the Chamber EDC. The position will support the full Chamber EDC team. The individual in this position should have strong communications skills and help connect those reaching out to the Chamber EDC with the right point of contact. Attention to detail, system management and proficiency in office platforms is key.
This position is under the direction of the President | CEO to perform the following essential job functions:
Answer phones, pick up mail, monitor general email inbox
Coordinate office services to include managing office supplies to coordination with maintenance and contracted vendors
Set up for Chamber EDC hosted meetings (room setup, make coffee, order lunches, welcome attendees, escort into the conference room, offer beverage, etc.)
Attend key signature events and programming/committee led events as needed
Coordinate sponsorship tracking for programs and events
Execute member investor communications for committee meetings, events, and programming
Manage member investor platform, staying up to date on the latest capabilities the platform provides
Assist communications and outreach specialist with updates to the website, proofing, and coordination of other materials
Assist the finance director with data entry, credit card reconciliation, payments, deposit and other tasks as needed
Assist vice president in planning for events and programs
Maintain RSVP and payment records for events and programming
Maintain public office space (i.e. front entry promotional material, meeting rooms, pathways to restrooms, copy room, etc.)
Track partner and community events
Other key elements for success may be assigned
Desired Qualifications:
Experience as an administrative assistant
Proficiency with Microsoft office and other related programs
Strong organizational skills with excellent eye for detail
Understanding and willingness to implement platforms/tools that support the organization
Willing to be a team player in a small office environment
Job Type: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Hourly Position: dependent on experience
