Thousands Celebrate Military Appreciation Night at MSU Men's Hockey Game

Jan 26 2023
We couldn't have asked for a better night at the Maysa Arena on Saturday, January 21st!
Military Appreciation Night was a tremendous success, with more than 2,000 fans on hand to watch the Minot State University men's hockey team take on the University of Mary. Military members and their families were welcomed into the event at no cost.
The cherry on top? The Beavers took home the win, defeating the Mauraders 4-1!
From Minot State University:
“Minot State University appreciates our long-standing partnership with Minot Air Force Base, and we wish to express our gratitude by hosting Military Appreciation Night during Saturday’s Beaver hockey game,” said Steven Shirley, president of Minot State University. “This event is the second of three athletic events planned over a one-year period to continue strengthening our commitment to Minot Air Force Base and its mission.”
“Thank you to Minot State University for hosting Military Appreciation Night and to Town & Country Credit Union for their generous support of this event,” shared Kevin Black, Minot Area Chamber EDC 2023 Board Chair. “Our sincere appreciation goes out to the men and women who serve our country. Minot isn’t Minot without the military families who make our community home, and we are forever grateful for their service and sacrifices.”
