Minot Area Chamber EDC to Co-Host Midwest Economic Forecast Summit
*Event Postponed to March 24*

The Minot Area Chamber EDC is proud to partner with the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber to bring the Midwest Economic Forecast Summit to our region on March 24, 2022. This summit is the first event in a four-part Midwest Summit series that will convene regional and national industry experts and thought leaders for crucial conversations on four significant regional topics:

Economic Forecast (March 24) | Agriculture (May 3)
Cybersecurity & Tech (August 2) | Energy (November 1)

The Midwest Economic Forecast Summit on March 24 is in partnership with chambers of commerce from across the Upper Midwest and will bring together leaders and experts from the following sectors to engage in a timely, in-depth and holistic discussion: agriculture, energy, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and technology. Keynote speakers for the event will be Neel Kashkari, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Dr. Scott Beaulier, dean of business at North Dakota State University, and Commissioner Steve Grove, Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

Kashkari will address the economy on a national scale and touch on the impact of COVID-19, federal recovery dollars, housing and workforce challenges, and more. Dr. Beaulier has spent his career actively engaged in understanding and advocating for policies that foster dynamic, vibrant economies that best allow businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive. He will discuss how policies are integral to our economic success, and how people – innovative, creative and dedicated business leaders – are the lifeblood of any economy. Commissioner Grove is focused on empowering the growth of the Minnesota economy, and under his leadership, the department works on growing the state’s workforce, closing the opportunity gap, and providing businesses and startups the support they need to grow and thrive in Minnesota’s economy. Commissioner Grove was previously an executive at Google for 12 years. In addition to these three keynote speakers, there will be panel discussions featuring leaders in agriculture, energy, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and technology.

“This is going to be a big deal; we are excited to bring thought leaders and experts from all over the country to our community and to dive into this critical topic. We also have numerous partnering chambers from across the Midwest that are co-hosting the livestream of this event in an effort to inform and engage as many of their own area business leaders as possible on this important subject,” remarked FMWF Chamber President & CEO Shannon Full.

Developing and maintaining a vibrant economy is essential to the continued growth of the Midwest; we hope you join us for this new, major event series and important discussion. Bremer Bank and Cass County Electric Cooperative are the presenting sponsors for the Midwest Economic Forecast Summit.
