MACEDC Strategic Communications Director Tim Olson joined chamber professionals from across the country at the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Annual Convention, held July 20–22 in New Orleans. ACCE connects chamber leaders with industry trends, peer networks, and new ideas to help their organizations better serve businesses and communities.

Sessions explored innovated approaches to sponsorships, membership, storytelling, civic engagement, and strategic partnerships. Olson also heard examples of how other chambers are engaging the next generation of business leaders, sharing positive business news, and building cultures of innovation. The annual gathering also gave him an opportunity to connect with peers and bring ideas from other communities back to the MACEDC team.

“The ACCE Annual Convention was a great opportunity to step outside our day-to-day work and see what chambers across the country are up to,” Olson said. “I returned with new ideas for telling our members’ stories, strengthening engagement, and ensuring we achieve our vision of being the go-to organization for the Minot area business community.”
