MACEDC Joins in Announcement of Major Investment in Housing, Financial Education
The Minot Area Chamber EDC joined community partners in August at a press release to announce a $1.2 million investment in affordable senior housing and financial education in North Dakota. Leaders from Beyond Shelter, Junior Achievement, and Wells Fargo traveled to Minot to make the announcement.

The funding provided by Wells Fargo includes $1 million to Beyond Shelter, Inc. to support affordable senior housing development in Minot and $200,000 to Junior Achievement North to expand financial education opportunities for students across the state.

During the press conference, representatives from U.S. Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer’s offices, MACEDC President | CEO Brekka Kramer, and the Minot City Council spoke in appreciation of the investment.

For the Minot area, the investment will help address the need for affordable housing for older adults, creating more opportunities for seniors to remain close to family, friends and the communities they call home. Support for Junior Achievement North, which the Minot Area Chamber EDC facilitates in Minot area classrooms, will help students build financial knowledge they can carry into adulthood. MACEDC appreciates the generosity and collaborative spirit that will help to expand opportunities for people of all ages in Minot.
