Business Leaders in the Classroom: Volunteer with Junior Achievement
Posted:
Feb 09 2026
For nearly 30 years, the Minot Area Chamber EDC has partnered with Junior Achievement North to help introduce local students in grades K–5 to the fundamentals of the free enterprise system. Volunteers step into Minot public and private school classrooms once a week for five weeks, spending about an hour each session guiding students through lessons on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and more.
Volunteering with Junior Achievement is designed to be simple and rewarding. Each volunteer receives a ready-to-use kit with lesson plans and materials, making it easy for anyone to deliver fun, engaging content — no teaching background required!
This year, 16 of our 106 classrooms are still in need of a volunteer. If you’re interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Carla Dolan, Vice President of the Minot Area Chamber EDC, by calling 701-852-6000 or emailing
