Support Local Families With Donations for the Minot Area Food Drive
Posted:
Nov 03 2025
The Minot Area Chamber EDC is proud to host the Minot Area Food Drive, rallying support for both military and civilian families in our community. From November 3–14, we’re collecting non-perishable food and essential items to benefit The Lord’s Cupboard and First Sergeant’s Council Food Pantries, two vital resources for those facing food insecurity.
This year’s food drive is more than just a collection. For every pound of food donated, the Minot Area Community Foundation will generously contribute $1 to further support local hunger relief. That means your donation makes double the impact!
Donations can be dropped off during normal business hours at:
• Minot Area Chamber EDC – 1020 20th Avenue Southwest
• Magic City Hoagies – 123 Main Street South
We’re requesting shelf-stable foods and pantry staples including:
• Canned foods
• Bags of rice (white, long grain, etc.)
• Pasta (any type)
• Tomato sauce/pasta sauce
• Tortillas
• Ramen Noodle Packs
• Oats (instant or regular)
• Cereal
• Tea/coffee/instant coffee
• Powdered milk/eggs
• Dried herbs/spices
• Microwavable rice
• Complete microwavable meals (not refrigerated)
• Hamburger Helper
• Baby formula
• Boxes of size newborn, 1, 2, and 3 diapers
• Boxes of wipes
• Baby cereal (regular and wheat for thickening the bottles)
• Apple sauce
• Dried Potatoes/Mashed potato mixes
• Dried herbs/spices
• Soup packets (Lipton)
• Crackers
• Velveeta Skillets
• Feminine products
• Hand/Feet warmers
• Chicken/Beef bouillon
• Peanut butter & jelly
Whether you’re able to give a little or a lot, every item collected helps ease the burden for someone in our community. Together, we can stock local pantries, lift spirits, and show what it means to care for one another in true North Dakota fashion!
