A family of a patient at Trinity Health-St. Joes nominated Bailey because they felt she went above and beyond taking care of their family member. From singing her them to sleep, playing games and even listening to problems no matter how small, she has consistently been attentive. Bailey was one of the only people that listened and truly cared about their loved one during their stay.

Dr. Hunskor’s nominator said he went above and beyond taking care of their sweet cat. After an IV and some medication their baby was back to being her normal self. Dr. Hunskor even called a couple days later to make sure everything was ok.

Katie’s nominator heaps praise upon Katie citing her exceptional service, attention to detail, and willingness to work through issues. She takes the time to identify obstacles, address gaps in communications, and finds solutions to problems. “It was a very pleasant experience working with Katie.”

Jeff is a citizen who was in the right place at the right time. His nominator writes, “We were traveling and stopped at a gas station to put air in our tire that was low, but the gas station did not have an air hose. Along comes Jeff who happened to notice that we had a small hole in the tire. He just purchased a tire repair kit for himself but was gracious and helped repair our tire hole with his kit and would not let us pay him. Jeff’s a great guy and we are so thankful he was there and willing to help get us back on the road.”

“Recently I had an urgent dental issue arise on a weekend; they got me in right away on Monday to extract a tooth. This was a team effort with Dr. Monson and her entire team. Everyone I came in contact with was kind, understanding, and empathetic to my issue. Dr. Monson was confident and efficient in helping me to feel better quickly.”

Marcus always greets people with a smile and throughout his classes he’s empowering, fun, and focused on making the day better. He encourages everyone to push past their limits, but always with kindness and support. He continually reminds his classes that their bodies are strong and working out also improves mental health. Everyone leaves his class feeling stronger, more confident, and genuinely uplifted.

“I have had Dr. Johnson as my OB for several years. In that time, we have experienced both pregnancy loss and traumatic birth. Through all situations, good and bad, Dr. Johnson handled everything with both professionalism and care. Her knowledge, skill, and quick decision-making helped to save our daughter’s life. She is an incredible blessing for her patients and for our community.”

“We went in with our 4 kids, and it can be a bit crazy when we are all trying to order, but Lavawn kept a big smile on his face and never made us feel rushed. He even gave the kids some crayons and paper to draw on. It was a warm welcome for our first time stopping in.”

A resident at Souris Height apartments says Janice has become a gift to many elderly residents. Not only does she make them feel beautiful by fixing their hair but she also helps them in many other ways. Janice is so patient, compassionate, and empathetic. She is an angel and an Eagle and so deserving of this recognition.

Kim goes above and beyond to help at the DMV according to her nominator. After several frustrating trips and hours of getting nowhere, Kim took the time to help. “She stayed calm, focused, reassured me we would figure it all out together and she truly cared about helping me through every step. She made a complicated and stressful process way easier. She’s a total rockstar!”

“I recently purchased a watch on vacation, the battery stopped working, I tried to have the battery replaced at several locations but was unsuccessful. I went to Kay Jewelers and Rhamel gave me the size of the battery I needed to purchase for my watch, (they did not have one in stock). I went and purchased one elsewhere and brought it back to Rhamel where he installed it and did not charge me. He provided wonderful customer service!”

Carson continues the “above and beyond” attitude of the Val’s Cyclery family. His nominator writes, “While riding the 2025 CanDak bike ride this summer I had problems with my bike. Carson was the bike mechanic on the ride and was able to help with a temporary fix which allowed me to continue for the day. He then arranged with Val’s Cyclery to bring a replacement bike for me to complete the weeklong ride in a safe and enjoyable manner. Thank you Carson, for your service to me and our community!”

Annie’s nominator raved that “Annie is always on top of my health care and answers all my questions on my cancer care journey. Trinity is very lucky to have her. She truly cares for her patients and calms their fears.”

“Help” should be Theresia’s middle name, according to her nominator. “She helped me with housing, Medicaid, finding peer support and offered me guidance while I figured things out in my life. She answers my phone calls after hours and helps many others, all while providing for her own family.”

Preston’s nominators would like to recognize him for going above and beyond in assisting them during a very difficult time with their sewer backup water claim. “Preston approached the situation with professionalism, urgency, and compassion. What could have been an overwhelming and stressful process was made manageable thanks to his consistent communication, guidance and willingness to go the extra mile. Preston provided us with excellent customer service.”

“Will has been more than just a water delivery driver, he’s been a reliable and thoughtful presence in my life. He shows up with a smile and a helping hand, often going the extra mile by bringing the bottles right into the house without being asked. He sends friendly reminders and lets me know when he’s on his way. His kindness, consistency and cheerful attitude makes every delivery feel like a visit from a friend.”

“Every time I go into G & G Pharmacy to get my medication, Wendy is always so cheerful and makes my day! She remembers my name and goes above and beyond to help!

Joan’s nominator recently had a baby that was experiencing some respiratory distress. When Joan walked into the room to help, they knew their baby was in the best hands possible. “She was good at explaining things and walking us through what was going on and the next steps in the process. Trinity Health NICU is lucky to have her and the level of dedication and experience that she brings to her profession.”

“Amanda dropped everything to help find us housing in an emergency situation. She shared everything we needed to know about renting in Minot, stayed late to help finish all the paperwork so we could get the keys for the perfect apartment. She made the transition simple, smooth, easy, and was available to answer all our questions in a timely manner. Amanda was so kind and caring throughout the whole process. She’s the absolute best!”

Katelynn’s nominator says that one encounter with Katelynn has stuck with them for a very long time. “Katelynn cared for an entire family and gave them every resource they needed to go out and have a better future. The compassion she had for each person in that family has really impacted me in my life and my career. I’m so thankful to have a passionate advocate like Katelynn to help the people in our community through the worst times of their lives.”

Maureen, (or Moe as her nominator calls her), goes above and beyond for her clients. “After my mother-in-law relocated to Minot I introduced her to Moe. Not only did she provide dental services for her, but after my mother-in-law moved into a memory care center, Moe actually stopped by bringing her a plant and they enjoyed a chat and a treat together. She is so thoughtful!”

“Mrs. Lentz has taught preschool to both of our boys over the past few years. Both of our boys are autistic, and she treats them as if they were her own. Our children always look forward to class time with her. Mrs. Lentz is not only a wonderful teacher, but she is an overall phenomenal human being.”

“Joey was the best! He found the exact 2025 Acadia Elevation I was looking for. He went above and beyond helping us. We will definitely buy from him again!

Rodney’s nominator writes: “Rodney consistently goes above and beyond the responsibilities of his role as Service Coordinator of Henry Towers. He advocates for residents, ensuring their needs are met and that they are connected with appropriate resources and referrals. What really sets him apart is every weekend he prepares and shares a home-cooked meal for anyone in the building who wants to join. Rodney’s professionalism, compassion, and selflessness are a daily reminder of the impact one individual can have in the lives of many.”

Killian’s nominator was greeted with a smile first thing when they stepped into the Verizon store. After explaining to Killian the problems they were having with their phone and thoughts on upgrading to a new one, Killian was on the case! “Killian was very patient and explained the benefits of upgrading to a new phone in detail. I upgraded and he assured me that he was there to help me and if I had any problems to come back and talk with him. I did have some problems with the new phone, but he was very kind and helped resolved the problems. I appreciate his kindness and professionalism.”

“I took an 86-year-old friend to the Minot Airport to check in at the Delta counter. We were greeted by Tristina and she was so kind and helpful. She took it upon herself to move our friend to the front of the plane so it would be easier for him and she made sure there was a wheelchair ready for him when he got off the plane in Minneapolis. She was great and deserves an Eagle Award.”

“Jennie goes above and beyond to help her customers.” Her nominator recently purchased a washer and dryer, and the dryer came with a dent and some scratches on the front. “I did not even have to call and say anything before I got home to see for myself, Jennie already put a replacement order in for a new dryer. She always goes out of her way to make the buying experience seamless, and I’m sure her other customers would say the same thing.”

“My daughter has been going to Spectrum Fitness for several months and the growth I have seen is stunning. Mike does a great job teaching multiple classes and managing different ages of kids. Plus, in his spare time he functions as a paramedic in Minot and the surrounding area. If anyone deserves an Eagle Award it’s Mike.”

Adam’s nominator came into Verizon to upgrade two lines and had tried to use the app and website but was completely lost on the trade-in value and how to get the best deals. They said Adam was very patient and provided them with account details and used his knowledge of all the current deals to find the perfect solution. Adam turned a frustrating upgrade experience into an amazing, money-saving victory.

Jeremy’s nominator was incredibly impressed by his bedside manner and care for his patients. “Dr. Shuck took the time to care and answer numerous questions multiple times. He truly showed compassion.”

Nichole’s nominator asked for help in finding an item at Walmart. “They were out of the specific item, so she showed me a substitute and offered to check in the warehouse. I then asked about another item, not in her department, and she took me over and helped me find the second item. I was very impressed with her customer service. Thank you Nichole!”

“Morgan stepped in as the massage therapist since the original staff needed to manage a personal situation. Morgan was very professional and knowledgeable. Morgan’s actions resulted in me keeping my scheduled appointment. She will go far with her craft.”
