Air Force Civic Leader Mark Jantzer was presented the Secretary of the Air Force Distinguished Public Service Award on 1 June, 2023 in Minot, North Dakota.
The award was presented by Colonel Daniel S. Hoadley, commander of the 5th Bomb Wing, Minot Air Force Base, at the June Military Affairs Committee Luncheon. The DPSA is presented to individuals who make a profound contribution to the Air Force, and it is the department’s highest honor for private citizens.
Jantzer has served in the Air and Space Force Civic Leader Program for 12 years, having recently transferred into an emeritus status.
He was honored for his exceptionally distinguished public service during his term with the program.
Mark is a city councilman, chairman of Task Force 21, an organization aimed at educating the local community and North Dakota officials’ congressman on national security issues, and Honorary Commander for the 91st Operations Group of the 91st Missile Wing.
During his term as a member of the Air and Space Force Civic Leader Program, Mark was instrumental in connecting his regional and professional communities to the Air and Space Force through his expertise in military operations and civilian socioeconomic issues.
